Windows8 RTM logon for Windows7 by PeterRollar Windows8 RTM logon for Windows7 by PeterRollar
!!Caution!!
This only works with Windows7 SP1 32bit and 64 bit
DON'T try it on another version

Correct size of userpicture, passwordfield and buttons.

Make a backup of your files before.
Learn how to remove the original language button in the left upper corner( if there is one) here[link] Thanks to :iconlee-whittington: for the hint.:)

Be careful what you are doing. I'm not responsible for any damage of your system. Don't try it if you are not an experienced user and if you have no installation disc to repair your system if somethings going wrong.

Use the background changer of your choice to change the background.

This also changes the look of your winver info as shown in the bottom picture.

This looks really nice!

Is there any way that we can remove the references to the domain . . . "DomainName\Username" or "Log in to: Domain Name" --- I've been trying to do this since my organization recently went through a name change and references to the old name are not desired.

Tried this file five minutes ago and it works perfect. Seems you made something wrong while replacing. You know that you have to take ownership of a systemfile to replace it? I'm pretty sure you still have the original file in place.Learn how to replace this file herewww.askvg.com/download-windows…
Btw. This file is outdated. Newer one is herepeterrollar.deviantart.com/art…

nope I didn't do anything wrong I took the ownership of authui.dll and renamed it to authui_original.dll and did the exact thing with basebrd.dll then I changed the value of OEMbackground in the regedit from 0 to 1 and I put the background from the zip file in C:\Windows\System32\oobe\info\backgrounds and I renamed it to BackgroundDefault
I'm pretty sure that's it please tell me if I did anything wrong :(!?

I agree, it seems you did nothing wrong. Mysterious. Why should something that works for so many people not work for you? Do you have SP1?
And can you give a screenshot of what you get?

It doesn't work for me. I installed the 64 bit version because i have a 64 bit machine. Am I supposed to install the 32 bit version as well? btw the background works, but idk where to put the user200 picture at.
