Another Windows8 startscreen by PeterRollar Another Windows8 startscreen by PeterRollar
Another Windows8 startscreen for

XP tested by me
Vista tested by :iconasilaydyingdl:
Windows7 tested by me.

Why?
1. Why not
2.No need for actual NET frameworks.
3.Never uses more than 10mb RAM
4. Each desklet can be fully customised and scaled individually
5.Free choice of the systray icon you wanna use.
6.If you are a little bit familiar with Javascript you can do nearly everything with this.

How to use:
First of all download Avedesk 1.3 here[link]
Install it and run the proggy one times to get rid of the intro.
Than copy and paste the Avedesk exe to the main folder of this deviation.
Click on the exe and it should run.:)
If not the controlpanel of Avedesk will appear and you have to load the theme manually.

To start the slideshow click on the picstream icon.

If you like this deviation give it a try. If you face any problems, just ask me.

Wallpaper with and without scrollbar included.

Left bottom startmenu can be found here[link]

!!Warning. This is no "One click job". Some basic knowledge about customisation recommended.!!

Open the controlpanel of Avedesk and check load theme tab. Navigate to the small tiles folder and you will find the theme file to load.

Hi ! I'm trying to make it work but when I start it, i've got an error message. Hook.dll is missing. I tried to run it on my 2 win 7 computers :( I'd really like to make it work, looks grat on the pics and vids.

Seems that on some Win7 systems Avedesk has a prob to find this dll. Please try this: Open the folder docklets. In it is a folder sysstats2_5_11 which contains the hook.dll. Copy and paste the dll to the main folder of Avedesk. Don't rermove the original one. This should help.

This version overlaps the desktop without wall paper and has invalid addresses

There is no visible desktop. You must set the taskbar to automatically fade out.Change the adresses as shown above.A minimum of experience is needed to use this.If you are new in customisation, this deviation is maybe not the right place to start.

Desktop
C:\documents and settings\Your user account name\Desktop
if your Windows is on C.
CD Art Display
C:\program files\CD Art Display\CAD.exe

To make it easier for you, you can also drag and drop files and folders from the explorer into the adress box.
